About Us

Under the umbrella and support of GIZ – Private Sector Development Project (PSD), BlackForest Solutions GmbH and cewas Middle East joined forces and experiences in the waste management entrepreneurship ensuring that all support will be provided in the most adequate expertise level.

The consortium offers technical and managerial support to entrepreneurs by specialized national and international experts, with sector-relevant experience and several projects in the MENA region.

 

Founded in 2010 in Switzerland, cewas is the world’s first dedicated water and sanitation incubator, offering dedicated water and sanitation entrepreneurship programmes and tailored support for innovators. cewas’ core activity is to support entrepreneurs in identifying opportunities in the water and sanitation sector, giving them guidance to develop a strong and sustainable business model and opening doors to access to finance, customers and networks. So far, cewas has worked with over 300 entrepreneurs, including nearly 100 MENA entrepreneurs at all development stages through the regional programme cewas Middle East.

BlackForest Solutions GmbH (BFS) is a specialized consulting company for the handling, collection, transport, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. The expert team of BFS has extensive experience to analyse and optimize critical status quo conditions related to different waste streams. Besides technical consultancy, BFS also offers operational sampling, analysis, re-packaging, transportation, and disposal services for hazardous waste under Basel Convention regulations. All expert team members of BFS have a long-standing practical experience in various related projects worldwide, providing onsite field services and waste management consultancy worldwide.
